Student Leadership

Pinnaroo Primary School serves a rural community, living in the environmentally unique and sensitive Mallee region of South Australia. The school is approximately 250km east of Adelaide, lying 4km west of the Victorian border. The township of Pinnaroo has a population of approximately 800 people with 1200 residing within the district boundary.

Our school values of Leadership, Respect, and Courage are highly valued in our school community. We believe all students have leadership potential therefore, many opportunities for students to take on Leadership Roles are provided.
House Leaders are elected for our Sports Teams at the beginning of each year, they help organise and run sporting events and House activities throughout the year.

The establishment of a Student Representative Council (SRC) provides an avenue for students to express views and become part of the decision-making process with issues regarding the student body. The SRC is made up of representatives from each class, they meet regularly to discuss current school matters and are responsible for whole school events such as Casual Days.

Student Leadership opportunities are also provided through Play Council, Leadership Projects, Youth Environment, and other forums.
